1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Custom Bots website, bot-configuration wizard, customer dashboard, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Custom Bots ("Custom Bots," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, submitting an order, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Custom Bots designs, builds, and configures custom Discord bots for individual customers based on the specifications they choose through our guided bot-configuration wizard. Every order includes managed hosting for your bot for the period shown at checkout. Hosting beyond that period is arranged with us directly and charged separately. Custom Bots is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
4. Accounts
You may sign in to the Service using Discord or Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that provides false information, is used to violate these Terms, or is inactive and unclaimed for an extended period.
5. Orders, Pricing, and Payment
When you complete the bot-configuration wizard and place an order, you are agreeing to pay the price shown at checkout. Payments are processed by PayPal; we do not store your full card or bank account details. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated and may change at any time, though a change will never affect an order you have already placed. Promo codes and discounts are subject to their own terms and may be limited, restricted, or withdrawn at our discretion.
Hosting is charged once, with your order, for the period shown at checkout. We do not renew it automatically, and we will never charge you again without asking first. Before your hosting period ends we will contact you and agree with you what happens next. If you would rather not continue, tell us, and nothing further is charged.
6. The Build Process
After an order is placed and paid for, your bot generally moves through the following stages: ordered, development, testing, and delivery. You can track this progress from your account dashboard.
Before you pay, we show you a delivery date. That date is our commitment, not an estimate. It is calculated when your payment is captured, counting business days only — Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays we observe.
The date can be revised after you order, for two reasons and no others: we are waiting on something from you — your bot's token, the access we need to your server, or content you said you would send — or you ask for a change after ordering. Every revision appears on your bot's page with a written reason and the new date, and we email you when it happens. A date never moves quietly.
What you are owed is measured against the date you were given before you paid, whatever the date later becomes. If we deliver after that original date, we refund 25% of the build price — the modules you ordered, not hosting. You do not have to ask, and you still receive your bot.
This commitment covers the build and its delivery to you. It does not cover hosting uptime, which is described separately, or the time you take to add the bot to your server.
We may request additional information or clarification from you during development.
After delivery, we correct anything the bot does that does not match the specification you agreed to before payment, at no charge, for 30 days from your delivery date. That window also includes two rounds of revisions. A round is one consolidated list of changes you send us, each turned around once.
A correction and a revision are different things. A correction fixes the bot to do what the agreed specification says. A revision changes what that specification says. Corrections are not capped within the window; revisions are the two rounds above.
Both end on the same date, 30 days from your delivery date. Hosting is charged separately and does not extend this period.
7. Refunds
Refunds are handled under our separate Refund Policy, available at /refund, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary: a full refund is available if you cancel before development on your bot has started; once development has begun, the order is non-refundable, except where we are unable to deliver the bot as agreed or we cancel the project ourselves. Late delivery is separate: it is handled under section 6 above and section 8 of the Refund Policy, and applies regardless of build stage.
8. Your Content and Ownership
You retain ownership of the information, names, descriptions, icons, and other files you submit to us for your bot ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a license to use it solely for the purpose of designing, building, testing, and delivering your bot.
Once your bot is delivered and paid in full, you own the resulting bot code and configuration built specifically for you. Custom Bots retains all rights to its own underlying platform, reusable modules, internal frameworks, templates, and tooling used to build bots generally, none of which are transferred to you as part of an order.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to build, configure, or operate a bot that: violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines; is used for spam, harassment, illegal activity, or the distribution of malware; infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy rights; or attempts to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other customers' data, or Discord's platform. We may refuse, suspend, or cancel any order that we reasonably believe violates this section, with a refund handled under our Refund Policy where applicable.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with and relies on third-party platforms, including Discord, Google, and PayPal. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, or account actions taken by those third parties.
11. Service Availability and Support
We aim to keep the Service and any hosted bots running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Support is available through our self-service resources, and you can reach a person through our contact page — see the Service for how to reach us. Unless you have a separate written agreement with us specifying otherwise, no specific uptime or response-time guarantee applies.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that a delivered bot will be free of defects or that it will continue to function if Discord, Google, or another third-party platform changes its own systems or policies.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Custom Bots and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the order giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim arose.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Custom Bots harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, Custom Bots, or third parties. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time; outstanding fees remain due.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last Updated" date on this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, regardless of where you access the Service from.
